About the Artist:
Alvin Mark Tan is an award-winning artist based in Singapore. Trained in graphic design, animation and fine arts, his works ranges from still-life to portraits to murals, and loves being outdoors doing plein-air oil paintings and urban sketching old buildings.

He documents all of his art projects and expeditions on YouTube and has been invited to vlog for international art events. Alvin also teaches figure drawing part-time at La Salle Animation. His goal in being a full-time artist is to encourage others to live their lives out as passionately as they can.

About the Workshop:
Many of us get the jitters when trying to draw the human figure. In this workshop, students will learn how to confidently draw human figures and place them into their urban sketching scenes. Half the session will be dedicated to learning how to capture the human figure in 3 stages which includes drawing from a live model. This systematic approach of drawing the human figure will leave students wanting to keep practicing more the sketching of people. The final segment of this work will allow us also explore the use of various mediums from pencil to inks, watercolours to markers.

What is included in this Workshop:
All participants will receive high quality products consist of sketchbook, brush pens, watercolour paints, fude nib fountain pen, paint brushes and all drawing tools that can be brought home after the workshop.
